The County Promotes 3 Long-time Employees

The County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotions of several long-time staff: Heidi Thompson, Karen Theriault, and Dennis Rogeski.

Heidi Thompson was promoted to Senior Accountant. Thompson began with The County in April of 1991 as a part-time teller and worked her way up through various roles over the last 33 years. She moved to accounting at the request of Patrick St. Peter, The County’s CEO at that time. He asked her to take on the bookkeeping position, and while reluctant to do so, his faith in her abilities made her rise to the challenge.

“I didn’t have the confidence in myself; he had the confidence in me,” said Thompson. “I still thank him when I see him for believing in me, for teaching me how to save for retirement, and how to have a great work ethic.”

Karen Theriault was promoted to Senior Accountant. Theriault began in August of 1991 as a full-time teller and quickly saw that she could advance within the organization. She worked her way towards accounting. Once in accounting, Theriault quickly knew she was where she wanted to stay, and she continues to enjoy the daily challenges of accounting.

“I grew up seeing my family work in financial institutions and how much they enjoyed what they did,” said Theriault. “It made sense to follow in their footsteps, and now I work alongside people who have become my second family.”

Dennis Rogeski was promoted to AVP Retail Services Manager, Northern Region. Rogeski has been with The County for ten years, beginning as an Indirect Loan Officer. He was promoted to Retail Services Manager, Northern Region in 2022. An Air Force veteran, he received the Army Commendation Medal, which led to the Airman of the Year Award in 2007 for service in Afghanistan.

“I am extremely honored to be recognized at The County,” said Rogeski. “The credit union motto of ‘people helping people’ is something that we live and breathe here. The team is always looking for ways to support our members and our communities better, and that is something I am proud to be part of.”
